Another Day Another Wedding

Actually, another day...TWO more weddings. That's right, Richard Murphy and Megan Parrish will tie the knot today at one o'clock, and Tyler Gamble and Emily Ross will take the plunge at six. Fortunately they are both here in town.

Megan & Will's Anniversary

On May 26, Megan and Will celebrated their first anniversary. Congratulations! They live in North Carolina where Will is in grad school. I am looking forward to seeing them in July when they come "home" for a visit. Hopefully, they will come back to Tennessee in a couple of years. Eight hundred miles is just too far away. Do I hear an amen?

Castleberry/Thompson Wedding

I did something on May 10 that I had never done before. I performed a wedding at the zoo. That's right folks, Jessica Castleberry and Ryan Thompson, a childhood friend of Drew's, were married at the Memphis Zoo. It was supposed to be outside by a beautiful fountain. However, we were forced to move into the Cat House (no jokes please) when the weather turned nasty.

Sandi Patty & Larnelle Harris with FBC Choir

Our choir had the opportunity to sing back-up for Sandi Patty and Larnelle Harris as a part of the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Christian Concert Series (say that three times really fast) on May 9. It was a great experience for all of us.

F.I.S.H. is June 16-20

Fun In the Son Hapnin' is a music and activities camp for boys and girls grades 1-6. It will be at FBC from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM and will conclude with the musical, "It's Cool in the Furnace" that will be presented on Sunday, June 22 at 3:00 PM. The deadline to sign up is Friday, May 30.
