Holy Cow, It's Outta' Here

Well, David Whaley really "knocked one out of the park" last night at our senior adult meeting. When he played the piano and sang, the guys were smiling and the women were swooning (a ninety year old even threw one of her undergarments at him .. I believe that was actually dementia related, however).

The crowd was excellent with eighty seven (that was also the median age) in attendance and they sure got their money's worth (there is no cost .. who would complain about free entertainment?).

David gave me a little publicity by commenting about my blog (a secret I had kept from church members .. up until last night) and suggesting they "check it out." Of course, most of those in attendance had no idea what a blog was. Afterwards, several said they would keep me in their prayers and one suggested calamine lotion, applied daily.

He also told our group he was taking his senior adults on a cruise in November. A freakin' cruise. Up until that moment, I was getting positive feedback about an upcoming trip to Lamberts. Now, evidently, bread flying through the air is not as exciting as getting cornrows in your hair.

Thanks, Dave.
